ESPN Expected to Have Massive Layoffs After Thanksgiving – Is Jemele Hill on the Chopping Block?

It turns out that being social justice warriors crying about racism while reporting on black athletes who make millions a year for throwing a ball around isn’t good for business. ESPN is expected to announce a massive layoff after Thanksgiving after losing thousands of customers a day for an extended period of time. This layoff will include on-air personalities which has people asking if Jemele Hill may be on the chopping block. ESPN hemorrhaged subscribers in October at 15,000 a day totaling 480,000 for the month. Breitbart reported: No doubt, there are…

ESPN is set to lay off another 100 employees after the Thanksgiving holiday, according to reports. The layoffs will reportedly hit employees in front of and behind the cable network’s cameras as well as in the writing staff. On the chopping block are employees such as producers, executives, and technical staffers, Sports Illustrated reported Thursday. A particular target for housecleaning seems to be the network’s SportsCenter broadcasts, SI’s Richard Deitsch wrote. ESPN’s SportsCenter has been at the center of controversy in recent months after on-air host Jemele Hill repeated violations…

Among All the Layoffs, ESPN is Also Dumping “Monday Night Football”

According to James Andrew Miller, an author of New York Times bestseller, “Those Guys Have All the Fun: Inside the World of ESPN,” the ESPN executives are removing “Monday Night Football” because of the high sports-rights costs and the declining subscribers. “With so much of ESPN’s universe asunder, it’s not outlandish now to entertain a previously unthinkable prospect,” Miller wrote. “Might ESPN elect to go without rights to NFL games after the expiration of its eight-year deal for ‘Monday Night Football’ in 2021?!” ESPN will experience its third round of layoffs…

ESPN Lost 480,000 Subscribers in October

There are a variety of ways, in which businesses judge whether they’re having a successful business day. However, if you’re losing over 15,000 customers a day, that is generally frowned upon. No doubt, there are many frowns being worn on the faces of ESPN executives after reviewing the October Cable Coverage Estimates. ESPN lost over 15,000 subscribers for every day ending in “y,” during the month of October. To put that into perspective, that’s the equivalent of losing Sacramento, California, the 35th largest city in the country, in a month. While many would welcome the…

ESPN Host Refuses to Apologize for Calling Trump ‘White Supremacist,’ Instead Issues Shocking Tweet

Jemele Hill really stepped in it, and people are royally ticked off. By labeling President Trump a ‘white supremacist‘ and a ‘bigot,’ the ESPN host made it clear she’s more concerned with social activism than being a sports commentator – which is fine, but not if you work for the “worldwide leader in sports.” The Disney-owned network barely slapped Hill on the wrist for tweeting her thoughts about 45, even though Curt Schilling, Mike Ditka, and Linda Cohn were fired or suspended for saying things not even remotely as bad. Now, Hill has issued what the…
