Late June 2016, then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton had suspicious meeting at the Phoenix airport.
The meeting happened few days before then-FBI Director James Comey announced that Hillary Clinton is not going to face any criminal charges over the private email server scandal, even though she violated the law.
At that time, the Obama administration assured the public that Loreta and Bill meeting was innocent and that they did not discuss the Hillary Clinton case. Thankfully, not everyone believed that story.
So, many journalists and watchdog groups filed Freedom of Information Act requests in order to get the FBI all the documents about to the infamous meeting.
They hoped that the documents will expose if they really discussed only golf and their grandchildren or if it was about the investigation into the former Secretary of States
Judicial Watch in October announced that they were informed that the FBI suddenly found 30 pages of records about the meeting, which will be released to the public in by the start of December.
“The FBI is out of control. It is stunning that the FBI ‘found’ these Clinton-Lynch tarmac records only after we caught the agency hiding them in another lawsuit,” said the chairman of Judicial Watch Tom Fitton.
“Judicial Watch will continue to press for answers about the FBI’s document games in court. In the meantime, the FBI should stop the stonewall and release these new records immediately,” he continued.
The documents, which will be released on November 30th, could offer further insight into the FBI’s probe of Clinton’s private email server scandal, and depending on the information in those files it could force the release of the FBI investigative records.
Moreover, it could reveal that Clinton and some of her aids received a preferential treatment by the FBI, and also it could reveal the immunity agreements that were granted to many people in exchange for their testimony
Anyhow, as many people are anxiously waiting for the release of these documents, not everybody expects to discover any shocking information in them, like investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson.
In my experience, the fed agencies typically only hand over what they think you already know about or have. Little confidence we ever get all the public docs we’re really entitled to. https://twitter.com/JudicialWatch/status/934912148139945984 …
Maybe Attkisson’s opinion is little cynical and jaded, but let’s not forget she has a lot of experience when it comes to being the run-around by federal agencies during Obama’s tenure. Perhaps this release will help her restore some of the faith in out transparent government.
